About Me
- Name: Wayne
- Location: Florida, United States
I'm a Christian of Lutheran persuasion on life's pilgrimage. I believe our final safe haven has already been secured for us by the Lord, but there's an interesting journey ahead that leads us in ways we can't begin to imagine. I'm 66, have a dry sense of humor. I am single and content to remain so. I am blessed to be retired after serving as a parish pastor for 38 year in two Florida churches, Our Saviour, Ocala, and Messiah, Miami. I practice centering prayer and am a religious oddity: a Protestant oblate of a Roman Catholic Benedictine monastery (St. Leo's). Life is good, and I keep plugging along the path.
"Let all guests who arrive be received like Christ" (The Rule of St. Benedict, 53).
Since, Lord, Thou dost defend
us with Thy Spirit,
We know we at the end,
shall life inherit.
Then fancies flee away!
I'll fear not what men say,
I'll labor night and day
to be a pilgrim.
